Job summary

Lewis Builders is seeking an Interior Designer to contribute to custom residential projects in Carmel-by-the-Sea. You will produce design deliverables, manage selections, and work under the Director of Interior Design to grow into leadership roles.

You will collaborate with vendors, clients, and the production team, delivering detailed drawings and schedules while maintaining organized project documentation across multiple ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• Proficient in residential interior design and selections management.
• Familiar with Chief Architect software.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects.
• Strong client-facing, creative, and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop selections and set up allowances through final client approval.
• Research, source, and present materials, finishes, and products; obtain samples and bids.
• Produce interior elevations, plan sheets, finish schedules, and detail drawings in Chief Architect.
• Draft purchase orders and perform material takeoffs with project team confirmation.
• Support clients and production team during construction, including substitutions.
