Job summary

Community-Residences in Waterbury, CT is seeking a full-time Resident Instructor. You will work in home settings, support daily living skills, monitor client well-being, and help implement treatment plans with the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree preferred, PMT, First Aid/CPR, Medication Certification, and a valid CT driver’s license. The schedule is Mon 8a-6p, Tue/Thu 8a-4p, Wed/Fri 8a-2p, totaling 38 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred with at least one year experience in human services.
• TRAINING: PMT; First Aid, CPR and Medication Certification required.
• Must obtain CPR/FA within 45 days; Medication cert within 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive learning environment and support daily living skills.
• Monitor medical, physical and behavioral changes; document progress.
• Administer medication as certified and document accuracy.
• Follow treatment/individual plans and maintain client privacy.
• Supervise visits, attend trainings, and accompany clients on community activities.
