Job summary

Easter Seals NH, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Residential Instructor to work with youth who have neurological or psychological disabilities. You will lead groups, run recreational activities and help implement behavior plans in a hands-on, frontline role.

This is not a desk job; you will support daily living activities, build coping skills, and serve as a trusted role model as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21+ years old and have a High School Diploma.
  • An Associates or Bachelor's degree with 12+ HUMAN SERVICES credits.
  • Two years of residential experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
  • Candidate must be a parent of a child 7+ years old.

Responsibilities

  • Work with youth with neurological and/or psychological disabilities.
  • Lead groups and recreational activities and follow behavior plans.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities and relationship skills.
  • Be a trusted role model in a team-oriented setting.

Job description

Job Description

We are looking for a 2nd Shift Residential Instructor to join our team! As a Residential Instructor, you’ll work with youth with neurological and or psychological disabilities. Our clients range from clients who have experienced trauma and abuse, to clients who have non-verbal and behavioral disorders. You will work with clients conducting groups and recreational activities and helping them with their behavior plans. This is not a desk job. Our interactive work directly impacts the lives of our clients. Whether you are assisting a client with daily living activities, improving relationship skills, developing coping mechanisms or teaching a subject, you will become a needed, trusted role model in this team-oriented position.

Qualifications
  • You must be 21 years of age or older, have a minimum of a High School Diploma.
  • An Associates or Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 credits in Human Services.
  • Two years of residential experience.
  • A combination of Human Service college credits and experience working with children totaling 2 years.
  • Be a Parent of a child 7 years of age or older.
  • Candidates must also have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Compensation

Compensation: $23.00-$28.00 hourly, based upon qualifications, related experience and education.

Hours: 2nd shift includes 3 weekdays from 1:30PM-11PM and 1 weekend shift 8AM-11PM.

Sign-on Bonus: $1,500. It is paid out over your first 6 months.
