Job summary

RA Hoy, a NearU company, is seeking a Residential HVAC Technician in Kitty Hawk, NC. You will diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems, install equipment when needed, and provide accurate estimates to homeowners.

Qualifications

• EPA certification or willingness to obtain immediately.
• Minimum 2 years HVAC service experience.

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Install and replace HVAC equipment when needed.
• Explain repair options and provide accurate estimates to homeowners.
• Educate customers on energy efficiency, system performance, and maintenance.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Mentor and support junior technicians and apprentices.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and teammates.
• Ensure all work meets local codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Safely work in varied conditions (ladders, crawl spaces, attics; lift 50–100 lbs).
