Job summary

RA Hoy, a NearU Company, seeks a Residential HVAC Technician to join our Kitty Hawk team and build a long‑term career with a company that puts people first. Diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems, install equipment, and explain repair options to homeowners while maintaining safety and code compliance.

The role also includes mentoring junior technicians, maintaining a year‑round workload with ongoing training, and benefiting from a comprehensive package including company housing

Qualifications

• EPA certification required or willingness to obtain immediately.
• HVAC service experience of 2+ years.
• Team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Commitment to ongoing training and evolving HVAC technology.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Install and replace HVAC equipment when needed.
• Clearly explain repair options and provide accurate estimates to homeowners.
• Educate customers on energy efficiency, system performance, and maintenance.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Mentor and support junior technicians and apprentices.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and teammates.
• Ensure all work meets local codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Safely work in varied conditions (ladders, crawl spaces, attics; lift 50–100 lbs).
