Position: Residential HVAC Service Technician

Typical Work Hours: Monday – Friday. Typically between the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Compensation: $28.00 - $41.00/hour. DOE.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Completes all general HVAC in-home service calls
• Establishes customer rapport to sell the right products and services
• Asks proper lifestyle questions to troubleshoot heating and cooling system malfunctions
• Educates and assists customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans
• Understands service criteria and is accountable for exceeding revenue goals
• Works with customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the business
• Maintains a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck
• Participates actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats
• Trains and mentors apprentices to ensure efficient, accurate repairs and installations
• Accurate and timely completion of invoices, timecards, curbside feedback, and option sheets
• Regular, prompt, on-site attendance essential for managing technicians and equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of local HVAC codes and ability to make on-the-job applications
• Proven track record in heating and cooling systems including ability to draw simple diagrams, read blueprints, and other diagrams
• Clean driving record
• Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in basic math and conversion of measurements.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least two years related experience required.
• Valid Driver's License.

Physical Requirements:

• Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting, and carrying.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times.
