Job summary

Bullman Heating & Air Conditioning in Asheville, NC is seeking a Residential HVAC Service Technician with 5+ years of hands-on experience to diagnose, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems.

You will educate customers, provide accurate estimates, mentor junior technicians, participate in on-call and overtime, and contribute to a high-quality, customer-focused service culture; a sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in residential HVAC service (heat pumps, gas furnaces, air conditioning units, etc.).
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• EPA Certification.
• Ability to lift 50-100lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, outdoors and on ladders.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems.
• Create accurate repair estimates for customers.
• Educate customers on HVAC products, services, and maintenance needs.
• Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems.
• Mentor and train junior technicians.
• Listen to customer concerns and deliver solutions addressing root causes.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and team members.
• Build long-term trust with customers with customer-focused service.
• Participate in rotating on-call shifts, overtime, and weekend work as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems.

• Earn between $55,000 - $80,000/year along with SPIFFS on top of your hourly rate.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in residential HVAC service (heat pumps, gas furnaces, air conditioning units, etc.)
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• EPA Certification
• Ability to lift 50-100lbs. regularly
• Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, outdoor environments, and on ladders.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
