Job summary

Bullman Heating & Air, a NearU Company, is seeking a Residential HVAC Service Technician in Asheville, NC. If you’ve spent 5+ years delivering hands-on HVAC service, we’d like to talk to you.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems, educate customers, and mentor junior technicians. We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus, a company vehicle with gas, uniform program, and a robust benefits package, with year-round work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• EPA Certification.
• Ability to lift 50–100 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, outdoor environments, and on ladders.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems.
• Create accurate repair estimates for customers.
• Educate customers on HVAC products, services, and maintenance needs.
• Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems.
• Mentor and train junior technicians.
• Listen carefully to customer concerns and address root causes.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients.
• Build long-term trust with customers and focus on customer satisfaction.
• Participate in rotating on-call shifts, overtime, and weekends.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems.

• Earn between $55,000 - $80,000/year along with SPIFFS on top of your hourly rate.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in residential HVAC service (heat pumps, gas furnaces, air conditioning units, etc.)
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• EPA Certification
• Ability to lift 50-100lbs. regularly
• Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, outdoor environments, and on ladders.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
