Description

Position Summary:
Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our Residential HVAC Installers are hard-working, enjoy seeing a job from start to finish, and want to learn and grow in their career.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Installation of heating, venting and air conditioning systems in residences and some light commercial establishments.
  • Install and start up equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Ensure new systems work efficiently.
  • Maintaining a detailed inventory of all materials, equipment and resources.
  • Communicates in a professional manner with customers, co-workers and subcontractors.
  • Adheres to all local, state and federal building codes practices and regulations.
  • Possesses EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification license (Core, Type I & Type II).
  • Completes job tickets and related memorandum accurately.
  • Understands that safety is the #1 Priority, uses personal protective equipment, documents site safety plans and understands electrical hazards and electrical safety.
  • Maintains company vehicle organization/cleanliness and is responsible for vehicle inventory.
  • Participate in continuing education sessions to ensure installation procedures are current with latest technology.
  • Requires working 40+ hours during the busy seasons which may include some evenings or possibly weekends.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in an HVAC related field or construction field preferred but not required. Technical school degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to learn and take direction from Foreman.
  • Must be EPA certified or willing to take the EPA exam within a month of starting date. NATE certification or similar qualifications are desired but not required.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods involved in showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
  • On the job training is provided.
  • Starting pay ranges from $20-$35+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is also required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
