Residential HVAC Service/Install Technician

Position Summary: Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our Residential HVAC Installers are hardworking, enjoy seeing a job from start to finish, and want to learn and grow in their careers.

• Installation of heating, venting, and air conditioning systems in residences and some light commercial establishments.
• Install and start up equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Ensure new systems work efficiently.
• Maintain a detailed inventory of all materials, equipment, and resources.
• Communicate professionally with customers, co-workers, and subcontractors.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal building codes, practices, and regulations.
• Possess EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification (Core, Type I & Type II).
• Complete job tickets and related documentation accurately.
• Prioritize safety: use personal protective equipment, document site safety plans, and understand electrical hazards.
• Maintain company vehicle organization and cleanliness; responsible for vehicle inventory.
• Participate in continuing education to stay current with latest technology.
• Work 40+ hours during busy seasons, possibly including evenings or weekends.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in HVAC or construction preferred; technical school degree or equivalent experience desired.
• Ability to learn and follow instructions from Foreman.
• EPA certification or willingness to take exam within a month of start date. NATE or similar certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of principles involved in product demonstration and sales techniques.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Starting pay ranges from $20-$35+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, reach, climb, and perform visual tasks. Must be able to see clearly at various distances.
