Job summary

Custom Air & Plumbing is seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Rough-In Technician to install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems during the initial construction phase of residential projects.

You will read blueprints, lay out ductwork, set equipment platforms, install refrigerant lines, and ensure code compliance. A valid driver’s license and a strong customer-service mindset are required; competitive hourly pay and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on residential HVAC installation experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Professional attitude and strong customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Installs ductwork systems according to engineered plans and layouts.
• Installs refrigerant line sets, condensate drains, and venting systems.
• Ensures proper duct strapping, sealing and insulation.
• Verifies correct pitch and support of drain lines for operation.
• Coordinates with builders and other trades for codes and workflow.
• Maintains a clean job site and adheres to safety standards.
• Ensures installations meet local mechanical codes.
• Communicates material needs and project progress to supervisor.
