Job summary

American Avenue Property Management in the Indianapolis area seeks a Residential Maintenance Technician (HVAC). You will inspect, repair, and maintain homes, focusing on tenant satisfaction and reliable service while documenting work orders.

The role requires multi-trade skills, EPA certification, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel between properties daily. You will work with handheld tech and contribute to a growing, mission-driven team that values safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proficient in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical work and property turns.
• Strong communication skills for positive resident and team interactions.
• Own tools and have a truck or van; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across multiple trades.
• Maintain and restore properties, including turnovers between tenants.
• Troubleshoot and install HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Inspect properties and conduct vacancy/wellness checks.
• Document property conditions and work orders via handheld devices.
