Carolina Cool | Build It Right. Lead the Way. Have Some Fun Doing It.
About the Role

At Carolina Cool, we’re not looking for someone who simply knows how to install HVAC equipment. We’re looking for a seasoned Residential HVAC Lead Installer who knows how to own a job, lead a team, solve problems, and deliver work they’re proud to put their name on.

As a Lead Installer, you’re the captain of the job site. From the moment the equipment arrives to the final homeowner walkthrough, you’ll take ownership of the installation and make sure the job gets done safely, efficiently, correctly, and to code.

You’ll set the pace, keep the crew moving, coach your install helpers, and make sure every system is performing at its best. You’ll also be a key face of Carolina Cool in our customers’ homes, so professionalism and great communication matter just as much as technical skill.

If you’re the person your teammates turn to when a job gets complicated, you take pride in clean, quality installations, and you’re ready to lead from the front — we want to meet you.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own residential HVAC installations from start to finish — replacements, change-outs, and new installations
  • Review job details before getting started and make sure you have the right equipment, materials, tools, and plan to get the job done

  • Perform duct modifications and ensure proper system design, airflow, and installation
  • Lead, coach, and develop install helpers, helping them build their skills and become stronger technicians
  • Keep the job moving efficiently while maintaining Carolina Cool’s standards for workmanship and safety
  • Verify airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, drainage, controls, and overall system operation
  • Perform system start-ups, commissioning, quality checks, and final inspections
  • Walk homeowners through their new system and make sure they understand how it works
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, comfort advisors, dispatch, management, and other team members
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and respectful of the customer’s home
  • Complete job documentation, photos, and paperwork accurately and on time
  • Troubleshoot issues in the field and find solutions without letting a curveball ruin the day
  • Represent the Carolina Cool brand with professionalism, confidence, and a great attitude
