McVay Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is hiring an entry-level Residential HVAC Installer Helper to support experienced technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems in residential properties.

You will gather tools, assist with ductwork, and learn proper techniques under supervision while building hands-on experience and a foundation for a successful HVAC career.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork.
• Gather tools and materials required for HVAC projects.
• Perform basic tasks such as carrying equipment, running ductwork, and connecting electrical components.
• Follow instructions from HVAC technicians and learn proper techniques for HVAC installations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Adhere to safety protocols and follow HVAC codes and regulations.
• Learn to troubleshoot basic HVAC system issues under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Seek opportunities for learning and skill development to grow in the HVAC trade.
