Are you an experienced HVAC installer looking for a new opportunity in Des Moines, IA? Look no further than Heartland Heating & Cooling! We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Residential HVAC Installer to join our replacement team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Replace HVAC systems in residential settings
• Install HVAC accessories on systems
• Ensure all work is done efficiently and up to code
• Provide excellent customer service
• Utilize software on iPad or cell phone to enter job notes and details

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as an HVAC hard worker
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Journeyman's license is not required but experience is. If you don't have a Journeyman's license we'll help you earn one!

Starting Pay:

Pay range starting out is $25-$35 pending experience and license status.

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Physical Requirements & work environment include:

• While performing duties of this position, employees are required to walk, balance on feet, stoop, squat, bend, climb, reach above head, crawl, talk, hear and drive company vehicles. Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Must have the necessary physical stamina; to include, but not limited to, long-term overhead HVAC work.
• Must be able to lift overhead up to 25 lbs. several times per week. If lifting more than 75 lbs.-request assistance.
• Must be comfortable working in tight spaces for an extended period of time in crawl spaces and attics.
• Must be able to work for extended hours or work days
• Must be careful during work to avoid injury (squatting, bending, ladders and stair safety, etc.)
• Specific vision abilities needed include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to work with powered construction tools (electric snips, sawzall, drills etc.)
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• While performing the duties of this position employees will be exposed to various weather conditions including inclement weather including wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat and extreme cold temperatures.
• Occasional exposure to loud noise level environments.
