Responsibilities

• Manage housekeeping and laundry operations and the housekeeping staff.
• Ensure residents enjoy a clean and orderly living environment.
• Authority to hire, train and assign personnel; recommend promotions and terminations.
• Develop systems for maximizing the effectiveness of the housekeeping and laundry functions.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly environmental services inspections with the Administrator.
• Oversee purchases of cleaning and laundry supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Maintain required records and reports per department policies.
• Ensure cleaning and laundry equipment is used safely and kept in safe condition.
• Safeguard equipment and chemicals to ensure safety of residents, guests and staff.
• Adhere to environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Participate in disaster planning including fire drills and staff training.
• Operate environmental services equipment such as vacuums and floor cleaners.
