Overhead Door Corporation is seeking a skilled Garage Door Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential garage door systems. You will represent our brand onsite, ensuring safe, high-quality service and clear communication with homeowners.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues with doors, openers, springs, rolling hardware, and safety devices; performing repairs; maintaining records; driving to job sites; and adhering to safety guidelines and local codes.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in Garage Door Service or related mechanical trades.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with garage doors, openers, springs, cables, rollers, sensors, remotes, and control systems.
• Perform skilled repairs and routine maintenance on residential garage doors, openers and hardware to ensure safe operation.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners to explain repair needs, products, and service processes; provide consultative recommendations.
• Maintain detailed records of all service and installation activities including parts used and labor performed.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and maintain an organized work area.
• Maintain inventory of commonly used parts and tools in the company vehicle to support daily operations.
• Respond to on-call requests on a rotating schedule; adhere to safety guidelines and codes.
