Job summary

Daley And Associates, LLC is seeking a Field Maintenance Mechanic to support a residential portfolio of five properties across the Boston area. This hands-on, field-based role handles resident work orders, apartment turnovers, and preventative maintenance for about 200 units.

The ideal candidate has strong residential maintenance experience, performs general repairs (plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry, light electrical), works independently with minimal supervision, and coordinates with vendors

Qualifications

• Hands-on residential apartment maintenance experience strongly preferred.
• General knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and basic electrical work.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, professional, service-oriented, and comfortable communicating with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
• Reliable transportation and ability to rotate between assigned properties.
• Ability to participate in an optional on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident maintenance requests, service tickets, and day-to-day work orders.
• Complete apartment turnovers, general property upkeep, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general plumbing, basic HVAC maintenance, painting, drywall, carpentry, and light electrical repairs.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues independently and determine when outside vendors are needed.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for larger repairs or specialized work.
• Maintain accurate work order updates, maintenance logs, and property documentation.
• Rotate between five residential properties on a weekly schedule.
