Job summary

Life Help in Tutwiler, MS is seeking an entry-level, part-time cook to prepare and serve three balanced meals daily for residents and staff. You will follow menu plans, ensure safety and sanitation, and communicate inventory needs to designated staff promptly.

Responsibilities include keeping the kitchen clean and organized, assisting with reporting and ordering within budget, and providing reliable backup support for weekday cooks as needed. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and one year's related experience.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation and serving of three balanced meals per day for residents and staff of the residential facility and other programs as instructed.
• Communicate inventory needs and maintenance problems to designated staff in a timely manner.
• Keep food preparation, serving and storage area neat and clean according to standards.
• Prepare complete, accurate, and timely reports as required.
• Order food and supplies within annual budget and as approved by Supervisor/Manager/Coordinator and Finance and Accounting Office.
• Assist with inventory of all food and food supply items when necessary.
• Provide emergency backup for weekday cook, as needed.
• Respect and uphold confidentiality and maintain professional conduct at all times.
