Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is hiring a Special Projects Housekeeper to support Housing and Residence Life in Fairfax, VA. You will perform custodial, groundskeeping, and maintenance duties in campus housing facilities, following safety policies and university procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and follow cleaning instructions and schedules.
• Strong oral communication skills with students, faculty and staff.
• Command of the English language is required; valid driver license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Special Projects Housekeeping with supervision.
• Perform custodial duties in residential facilities including cleaning and maintenance.
• Clean common areas, laundry rooms, balconies, bathrooms and offices.
• Operate cleaning equipment and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Participate in training and department meetings as required.
