Job summary

Evergreen Real Estate Group is seeking a detail-oriented Janitor to maintain clean, safe, and orderly environments across residential buildings and grounds. You will perform routine cleaning, grounds upkeep, and assist with unit turnovers.

This role supports residents by upholding Evergreen’s standards of care and cleanliness. You may perform light maintenance tasks, handle basic repairs, and help with safety compliance while working on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in janitorial, custodial, or property cleaning roles.
• Experience with light maintenance or working with professional cleaning tools preferred.
• Pool certification required for properties with a pool.
• Valid driver’s license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas such as lobbies, restrooms, stairwells, laundry rooms, kitchens, offices, and multi-purpose spaces.
• Perform deep cleaning of vacant units during turnover, including floor care and trash removal.
• Remove graffiti, debris, and litter from interior and exterior property areas.
• Assist with “trash-outs” in vacated units and haul items to designated disposal areas.
• Walk property daily to pick up litter, remove pet waste, and check for hazards.
• Remove snow and apply salt to walkways during winter months.
• Assist with seasonal landscaping tasks if no Groundskeeper on-site.
• Support exterior work such as fence repair, painting, or screen replacement.
• Perform minor repairs, replace light bulbs, monitor lighting, respond to work orders, and maintain clean mechanical rooms and storage areas.
• Identify unsafe conditions and report them promptly per safety policies.
