Job summary

Lifespan Services is seeking compassionate Residential Enrichment Specialists to support people with disabilities in group homes and community settings in Charlotte, NC. Training is provided, and no prior behavioral health experience is required.

This full-time role offers ongoing development and a path to growth. Shifts include 2nd and 7-on to 7-off rotations with evening hours; paid training is provided, and benefits are available for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Pass criminal record and healthcare registry check.
• Pass Drug Screen.
• Pass driving record check if providing transportation.
• High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Note: Current First Aid/CPR blended or classroom certification is required; training provided if needed.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently (per policy).

Responsibilities

• Teach skills to promote independence.
• Support community inclusion and integration.
• Mentor individuals to help build social skills and relationships.
• Provide guidance and support in daily activities.
• Assist with eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living.
• Assist with preparation of meals.
• Monitor and report on status of health and safety objectives.
• Assist with participation in leisure/recreational activities.
• Use electronic health record to document activities and significant events.
• Submit documentation and payroll data according to scheduled deadlines.
• Complete initial and ongoing training, and participate in staff development activities.
• Depending on the person you support, you may be required to: Administer medications. Training is provided. Nursing team supports you.
• Provide transportation to and from designated sites.
• Assist people with mobility needs, e.g. utilize transfer techniques, a Hoyer lift and/or gait belt. Training is provided.

Schedule

7 on 7 off rotation: Tuesday through Monday 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM; Saturday and Sunday 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
