Job summary

LIFESPAN Services is seeking a Lead Residential Enrichment Specialist in Charlotte, NC. You will provide personalized care to group home residents, teach skills, and support daily living activities in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities include promoting independence, monitoring health and safety, documenting activities, and coordinating transportation as needed. A high school diploma and First Aid/CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Pass criminal record and healthcare registry check.
• Pass Drug Screen. Pass driving record check if providing transportation.
• High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Commitment to achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• First Aid/CPR certification required (training provided if needed).
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds independently.

• Mentor individuals to build social skills and relationships.
• Provide guidance and support in daily activities.
• Assist with eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living.

• Assist with participation in leisure/recreational activities.
• Use documentation systems to record activities and events.
• Complete training and participate in staff development.

Schedule: 7 on 7 off rotation: Tuesday through Monday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM; Saturday and Sunday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

What you’ll do:

• Submit documentation and payroll data according to scheduled deadlines.
• Complete initial and ongoing training, and participate in staff development activities.
• Depending on the person you support, you may be required to:
• Administer medications. Training is provided. Nursing team supports you.
• Provide transportation to and from designated sites.
• Assist people with mobility needs, e.g. utilize transfer techniques, a Hoyer lift and/or gait belt. Training is provided.
