Job summary

The Puerto Rican Action Board (PRAB) in Middlesex County, New Jersey, is seeking an Energy Auditor for the Weatherization Assistance Program. You will perform residential energy audits, analyze energy bills with specialized software, and prepare retrofit recommendations and detailed work scopes.

Qualifications include BPI certification, an associates degree in Energy Science or related field, and 2+ years in energy auditing.

Qualifications

• BPI certification required.
• Envelop Professional and Building Analyst preferred.
• Associates degree in Energy Science or related field preferred.
• At least four years’ experience in Energy Auditing preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Valid NJ Driver’s License with reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform Residential Energy Audits (test in/test out) in accordance with WAP standards.
• Analyze energy bills and audit results using NEAT, MHEA or EA-QUIP software.
• Prepare a written report of audit findings with retrofit recommendations and health/safety issues.
• Prepare detailed work scopes and orders with pricing and quantities for retrofit work.
• Coordinate service delivery with Weatherization Supervisor and crews.
• Maintain program records and complete internal reporting in HESWAP database.
• Comply with safety policies and perform final inspections using QC procedures.
