Job summary

RISE Group Inc. seeks a Residential Energy Specialist to perform scheduled home energy assessments for utilities and sponsors, identifying efficiency measures and presenting work plans to homeowners.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills and a willingness to pursue BPI Building Analyst certification within six months. Daily on-site work with client homes is expected, with company support for training and travel.

Qualifications

• Two years of residential construction or energy-efficiency experience.
• Strong analytical skills, drafting ability and math aptitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, verbal and written.
• Sales or customer-facing experience.
• Commitment to energy efficiency.
• Proficiency with Windows-based applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• High school diploma or equivalent plus relevant post-high-school studies.
• Other combinations of education, training and experience will be evaluated.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily to homes.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, access attics/basements.
• Able to pass criminal background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct residential energy audits evaluating insulation, appliances, HVAC, lighting, moisture and air quality.
• Perform in-home energy tests and install savings measures.
• Use proprietary software to prepare on-site assessment reports.
• Explain energy-efficiency measures, benefits, costs and savings.
• Secure homeowner approval and coordinate rebates/financing options.
• Follow up with homeowners to ensure satisfaction.
• Pursue BPI Building Analyst certification within six months of hire.
