Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience with residential electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Completes new construction residential installs and warranty work.
• Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste and ensure future maintenance access, adhering to codes.
• Prepares sketches or follows diagrams/blueprints to install concealed wiring before walls/ceilings are finished.
• Splices wires and connects wiring to fixtures and equipment.
• Tests continuity and safety of circuits with basic instruments.
• Observes equipment to detect hazards and determine needs for adjustments or replacements.
• Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Your Mission:

• Completes new construction residential installs and warranty work
• Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
• Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
• Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
• Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
• Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads.
• Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope.
• Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Possibly required to work overtime.
• Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which include but are not limited to the ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds
• Must have the ability to pass a urine drug test and background check.
• Must be able to provide a clean driving record.
• Bilingual a plus.
