Mr. Electric of Oak Park is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our new team in Oak Park, Illinois. This role involves diagnosing residential electrical systems and performing installations such as lighting and outlets. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience, a journeyman electrician license, and strong troubleshooting skills. Specific Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems
• Perform installations including lighting, outlets, switches, panels, EV chargers, and other electrical components
• Evaluate customer concerns and provide clear explanations and recommended solutions
• Perform electrical safety inspections and identify potential hazards
• Accurately document work orders, quotes, and invoices using field service software
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and professional appearance
• Follow all electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures
• Deliver exceptional customer service on every job

Job Requirements

• Journeyman electrician license preferred — candidates currently licensed in any Illinois municipality encouraged to apply
• 3+ years residential electrical service experience preferred
• Physically able to lift heavy objects as necessary
• Proficiency to navigate tablet based technology
• Professional appearance and personality
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls without assistance
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
