Job summary

Complete Comfort is seeking a Residential Electrician to diagnose electrical problems, install and maintain residential and light commercial systems, and service backup generators. You will work directly with homeowners and light commercial clients across Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee, applying NEC standards and safety practices.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years of electrical experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of electrical experience.
• Residential and/or light commercial experience.
• Familiarity with NEC and electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical problems and determine appropriate repairs.
• Install, replace, and maintain residential and light commercial electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot panels, circuits, wiring, switches, outlets, and other components.
• Perform electrical service calls and installation projects.
• Install and service backup generators and related power equipment.
• Read and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Verify completed work meets NEC and applicable local requirements.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers.
• Work alongside HVAC technicians when projects involve multiple systems.
• Document completed work, materials, and service findings.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean jobsite.

Residential Electrician – Service and Generators

$29–$35/hour | Full-Time Chilhowie, VA & Blountville, TN

Complete Comfort is adding an experienced Residential Electrician to our team. This position is ideal for an electrician who enjoys variety in the field-from diagnosing electrical problems and completing installations to working with backup generators and whole-home power systems.

Your Day-to-Day

Qualifications

• Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues
• Familiarity with NEC and electrical safety standards
• Generator experience is highly valued
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license is preferred, but not mandatory
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong customer communication skills
• Self-motivated approach and dependable attendance
• Commitment to quality workmanship
