Job summary

Strada Services is seeking aResidential Electrical Service Technician to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems in single and multi-family homes, adhering to the NEC and state/local codes while upholding the Strada Services Brand Promise of reliability and value.

You will inspect electrical systems, perform repairs, and provide cost estimates; communicate clearly with homeowners, officials, and staff, and guide customers to informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Must have clean driving record.
• Pass Background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Able to work a flexible schedule which may include nights and weekends.
• Ability to read technical diagrams of equipment, controls, and blueprints.
• Ability to solve basic math problems as it applies to the NEC Calculations.
• Ability to direct Electrical Apprentices assign to you as needed for work scope.
• Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn new methods.
• Detail- oriented with excellent time management skills.
• Demonstrate Safe working practices and methods.
• Ability to navigate the use of company provided electronic tablet.
• Document work completed with before and after photos.
• Accurately estimate and invoice repairs.
• Position requires on job shadowing and learning while adhering to workplace procedures using Service Titan Trade Software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, identify hazards or defects, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical problems on structural wiring, service equipment, receptacles, switches, and light fixtures.
• Perform repairs or replace per manufacture recommendations while adhering to the National Electrical Code standards, recommended practices, and guides.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, and scissor lifts to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
• Engage with homeowners to inform them of issues and needed repairs, replacement, or appropriate upgrades to be completed at that time or at a schedule time.
• Lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions.
• Effectively communicate with all customers, building officials and internal office support staff.
