Job summary

Gold Medal Services is seeking a highly technical Electrical Service Technician for residential service with no on-call duties. The role focuses on safe, high-quality electrical repair and service in customers' homes, with emphasis on safety and comfort.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose, install and repair electrical components, maintain your service vehicle, and deliver excellent customer service while meeting sales and performance targets.

Qualifications

• years' electrician experience
• Willing to pursue, develop and participate in continuing education.
• Residential service experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of local electrical codes and applying them practically on each job.
• Ability to work with inspectors, suppliers and co-workers to ensure correct project work while following codes.
• Ability to draw simple diagrams and read blueprints and other diagrams.
• Must have a valid and clean driver's license.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, install and repair electrical components in a residential environment.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Travel to job sites in service area and coordinate with dispatcher to maintain schedule and inform customers of delays.
• Obtain customer authorization/signature for payment (or financing) at job completion.
• Meet predetermined targets and sales goals.
• Assist customers in evaluating repair vs. replace options.
• Assist in generating and scheduling replacement consultations (as indicated).
• Meet or exceed performance minimum standards.
