Tribble Electric in Richmond, VA seeks an experienced Department Manager to lead the Residential New Construction unit. You will own the unit's P&L, grow builder relationships, set pricing strategy, and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery within safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in residential electrical construction with leadership and financial responsibility.
• Existing builder or developer relationships in the Richmond market or proven ability to build them quickly.
• Deep understanding of residential production economics: per unit pricing, crew productivity, density, warranty cost.
• Proven ownership of a P&L statement and ability to explain variances from reports.
• Experience developing people and building an apprentice/leadership pipeline.
• Comfort operating from data: budget vs actual, job cost, pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Own the Residential unit's profit and loss, including revenue, gross profit, and overhead.
• Build and maintain builder/developer relationships and bring qualified work.
• Own pricing model for residential work, including per unit/plan pricing and escalation.
• Drive job density and neighborhood concentration as margins strategy.
• Set and defend the unit's annual plan and budget; monitor variances.
• Oversee manpower planning, crew structure, and apprentice pipeline.
• Set standards for estimating, release, execution, inspection, and closeout.
• Manage rough-in/trim scheduling reliability and builder schedules.
• Oversee warranty, punch, and callbacks; address as cost/relationship issue.
• Collaborate on pricing strategy and market positioning with leadership.
• Drive safety performance and ensure adherence to safety program.
• Utilize BuildOps and tracking docs for accurate reporting.
• Present honest numbers and clear plans at leadership table.
