Job summary
United Cerebral Palsy Heartland is seeking a compassionate Residential DSP to support individuals with disabilities in Webster Groves. This full-time position offers nocturnal shifts with a consistent 40-hour workweek and $21.00 per hour.
You will assist with daily living tasks, hygiene, and activities, while following medical orders and ensuring client safety. Training and strong communication are essential in this rewarding role.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean driving record and complete driver training.
- A minimum of one weekend shift per weekend.
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field.
- Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Computer proficiency.

As a DSP (Direct Care Provider)you will perform the following responsibilities:
Provide physical assistance with daily tasks, assist with personal hygiene, including toileting and facilitate fun activities.
Follow medical orders and administer medications.
Most importantly,provide choices to the clients for their daily activities to provide entertainment and community outings.

MINIMUM EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or its equivalent (GED).

- A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEKEND SHIFT PER WEEKEND
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
- Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all Agency clients and personnel.
- Good written and oral communication skills
