Bay Community Support Services, Inc. in Waldorf, MD is seeking a dedicated Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

The schedule includes Tue–Thu 2pm–10pm, Sat 2pm–10pm, and Sun 8am–2pm, totaling 38 hours weekly. The DSP will help with daily tasks, provide emotional support, and implement individualized care plans while maintaining a safe, clean living environment.

Residential DSP is Waldorf, MD - 38 Hours

Bay-CSS is looking for a dedicated Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Waldorf, MD. This role involves supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting during the following schedule: Tuesdays to Thursdays and Saturday from 2pm to 10pm, and Sundays from 8am to 2pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and car insurance
• Must pass a background check
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs
• Completion of all required trainings within the allotted timeframe
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and follow directions
• Compassionate and patient demeanor

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily tasks including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and household chores
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to individuals in the program
• Implement individualized care plans and behavior support strategies
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment
• Document and report any significant changes or incidents to supervisors

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $21/hr Monday to Friday, with a $2 shift differential on Saturdays and Sundays
