Job summary

New Point Life Services in Virginia is seeking Evening Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with disabilities in a residential setting, helping them build independence and participate in daily activities.

Evening schedule 4:00 PM–12:30 AM with rotating weeks; benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, 401(k), paid training, and opportunities for overtime and career advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Active Virginia CNA, NA, or PCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals according to their ISP and BSP.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Encourage independence with daily living skills.
• Transport individuals safely to community activities and appointments.
• Plan and participate in meaningful recreational and community outings.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and home organization.
• Administer medications following agency policies.
• Complete electronic documentation and required reports.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment.
• Build positive relationships that promote confidence, dignity, and choice.
