Summary: The Residential Driver is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous waste removal services. They must ensure their vehicle complies with safety standards, adhere to all regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle, reporting safety issues.
2. Safely operate the truck along designated routes, following route sheets and maps.
3. Operate controls to lift, load, and dispose of refuse according to safety policies.
4. Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely service.
5. Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers.
6. Monitor waste quality and clean up spills following safety standards.
7. Maintain vehicle readiness, cleaning waste from the truck as needed.
8. Complete route sheets, Vehicle Condition Reports, and other documentation.
9. Meet productivity standards to ensure efficient customer service.
10. Provide excellent customer service, acting professionally and courteously.
11. Manage time effectively to complete responsibilities safely and efficiently.
12. Follow company policies and safety standards, avoiding risks.
13. Maintain pride in work and strive to meet goals.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes endorsement.
• At least two years of experience driving heavy trucks.
• Strong reading and writing skills.
