The Front Load Driver operates refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned and special routes to pick up garbage. Responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip truck checks, cleaning, and other related tasks. Work is supervised, with performance reviewed through direct observation and route discussions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. The Front Load Driver services commercial businesses by collecting from Front Load Containers, using levers inside the truck cab to empty containers into the truck, and handling heavy cans on castors.
2. Completes route and productivity sheets, records mileage, fuel consumption, and other required documentation.
3. Communicates professionally with customers, reports issues, and provides courteous service, aligning with company and municipal goals.
4. Ensures safe operation of the truck, including inspections, evaluation of materials, and safety assessments.
5. Maintains cleanliness of the truck, including cleaning waste from the packer blade and truck body, and washing the exterior weekly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must have a valid Class A or B CDL with a safe driving record.
2. Must be at least 21 years old.
3. Understanding of refuse collection policies, DOT, and state requirements.
4. Normal hearing and vision, physical ability to manipulate equipment, and follow instructions.
5. Ability to operate various refuse trucks safely and efficiently.

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in training courses as assigned.
• Stay updated on current technology used by Waste Pro.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
