Position Summary
The Residential Door Attendant serves as the first point of contact for residents, guests, and service providers at an assigned residential property. This role is responsible for monitoring building access, welcoming and announcing visitors, assisting residents as needed, and helping maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment throughout the property.
Key Responsibilities
Resident and Visitor Services
- Remain stationed at the designated lobby post to monitor and observe all building entrances and exits.
- Greet visitors and notify residents of arriving guests, vendors, or service personnel.
- Verify and facilitate access for authorized residents and approved family members when required.
- Provide assistance to residents with packages, groceries, luggage, and other personal belongings.
- Assist residents, visitors, and family members entering or exiting vehicles.
- Arrange or hail taxi services upon request.
- Offer directions and guidance to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors within the building.
Building Security and Access Control
- Ensure the assigned post remains attended at all times whenever possible.
- Leave the post only when necessary to assist residents or respond to emergencies.
- If temporary absence from the post is required, secure all entry points before departing and return promptly.
- Notify the Lead Doorman of any instance in which the post must be left unattended.
- Maintain strict control and accountability of all keys assigned for operational duties.
- Immediately report lost, missing, or unaccounted-for keys to the Supervisor and Housing Office.
- Demonstrate knowledge of building security systems, access controls, and established security procedures.
- Monitor entranceways and lobby areas to discourage unauthorized gatherings or disruptive activity.
- Report any security concerns or incidents to the Housing Office, Building Manager, or appropriate authorities as necessary.
Property Monitoring and Reporting
- Conduct routine exterior perimeter inspections and report maintenance, security, safety, or cleanliness concerns to the appropriate department.
- Promptly communicate building emergencies, operational issues, or maintenance problems to management and, when authorized, contact service providers for assistance.
- Document unusual events, incidents, or noteworthy observations and ensure supervisors are informed.
Package and Mail Management
- Accept and securely hold resident deliveries and packages until they can be released to the appropriate resident.
- Assist with sorting and distributing mail to resident mailboxes when assigned to do so.
Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs, including names, arrival times, departure times, and purpose of visit.
- Record incidents, irregular activities, or building-related concerns in the logbook.
- Notify management of any significant events or issues documented during the shift.
Housekeeping and Appearance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional lobby environment.
- Perform light housekeeping duties in common areas as needed, including vacuuming, dusting counters, and tidying the lobby.
- Present a professional appearance and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for residents and guests.

- 7:30 AM-3:30 PM

Additional Requirement
Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work alternate shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime when operational needs require.
