Job description

Join to apply for the Residential Direct Care Professional role at Bridge Family Center.

Position Details

The Bridge Family Center is seeking full-time and part-time Direct Care professionals to work with adolescent males in DCF Care at its STTAR (Specialized Trauma-informed Treatment, Assessment and Reunification) Home in Hartford, CT.

This role offers a pay range of $18.00/hr. The actual pay will depend on skills and experience; discuss with your recruiter for details.

Benefits and Bonuses
  • Sign-on bonus of $1,000 for full-time, $500 for part-time, and $250 for per diem employees, paid after 3 months of employment, contingent on performance and attendance.

Responsibilities
  1. Behavioral Management: Maintain control, ensure safety, engage residents in positive activities, supervise daily routines, and assist with chores and study time.
  2. Program Management: Implement relational model, transport residents, administer medication, provide crisis intervention, conduct intake/discharge, maintain documentation, cover shifts as needed, and perform other duties.
Qualifications

Preferred: Associate's degree in Human Services or related field, experience with at-risk adolescents, or relevant experience. Candidates pursuing a degree are encouraged to apply. Must have the ability to set boundaries, develop rapport, communicate effectively, and possess a valid Connecticut driver’s license. Certifications such as TCI, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration are required or obtainable post-hire.

Shift Options
  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM or 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
  • 3rd Shift (awake): 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM or 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM

Most part-time positions require weekend availability.
