Musser Home Builders, Inc. is seeking a Residential Designer to create comprehensive design and construction plan sets, coordinate with clients and project managers, and ensure plans meet budget and codes.

The role involves developing concept, bid, and permit plans, creating 3D models and exterior views, updating plans with engineering, and maintaining accurate project documentation in Buildertrend.

Qualifications

• Work experience or education as a Residential Designer or similar preferred.
• Understanding of residential construction practices preferred.
• Computer aided design software and 3D modeling education/experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate client design meetings in cooperation with the Project Manager.
• Listen well and accurately record all pertinent details communicated by the clients regarding their needs and wishes for their project.
• Coordinate updates and selections with Project Manager and Selections Coordinator.
• Convert Concept Plans into Bid Plans by adding drawings and details that convey design intent and specifications for vendor use to provide accurate quotes.
• Send plans to engineer for structural building design and related calculations.
• Verify that Bid Plans align with Comprehensive Estimate specifications.
• Coordinate any additional updates and selection changes with Project Manager and Selections Coordinator.
