WHA | Architects . Planners . Designers is seeking a motivated architectural professional to support design and documentation of residential projects from concept through construction in California. The role offers growth alongside Project Managers, Senior Designers, and Principals in a collaborative studio.

You will gain exposure to all project phases and have opportunities for professional development while contributing to compelling residential communities across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
• 0-4 years of professional experience; residential experience is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Basic understanding of residential construction methods and documentation practices
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks
• Hand drawing / sketching skills a plus

Responsibilities

• Support the development of residential projects, including single-family detached and multifamily communities.
• Assist in the preparation of schematic, design development, and construction document packages.
• Produce and coordinate construction drawings under the direction of Project Managers and Senior Designers.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure accurate and coordinated documentation.
• Apply knowledge of building codes, zoning requirements, and company standards to project work.
• Participate in project meetings and assist with tracking action items.
• Support preparation of presentation materials, plans, and graphics.
• Assist with redline corrections and document revisions.
• Conduct site visits and assist with construction administration tasks as needed.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation.
