Job summary

ZWP is seeking a motivated Junior Architect / Interior Designer to join our Los Angeles team on a full-time basis, with 0–3 years of experience. The role involves supporting architectural and interior design development from concept through construction for luxury residences in California.

You will work closely with project leadership and senior designers, gaining hands-on experience in documentation, detailing, and construction-phase coordination across premium communities such as Calabasas,

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of professional experience in architecture or interior design.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape (or similar rendering tools), AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Revit is a plus.
• Strong interest in high-end residential design.
• Basic understanding of construction documentation and detailing.
• Strong graphic and visual communication skills.
• Organized, proactive, and willing to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with California building codes is a plus.
• Clear and professional communicator with a calm, organized, and self‑directed approach to work.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented residential environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of architectural and interior design packages from concept through construction documentation.
• Assist in creating mood boards, material studies, presentation drawings, and client materials.
• Help prepare drawings, 3D models, and renderings under the guidance of senior team members.
• Support FF&E research, product sourcing, and material selection.
• Coordinate drawings internally and assist in consultant coordination.
• Assist with drawing updates, revisions, and documentation management.
• Participate in site visits and construction meetings as needed, supporting field coordination and documentation.
• Help review submittals and RFIs under supervision.
