Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville is seeking a Residential Planning & Design Manager to oversee the affiliate's architectural portfolio, maintain the Specification Manual, and collaborate with the Land Development team on Resident-led Redevelopment at Southwood. You will coordinate with partners, HOAs, and the Construction Leadership Team to ensure designs meet family needs and guidance.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in architecture, urban planning, or graphic design.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve architectural drawings for code, constructability, and cost implications.
• Manage ARB approvals with HOAs and communicate requirements to the Construction Leadership Team.
• Manage landscape plans and purchasing of plant materials.
• Engage residents for feedback on Southwood village designs.
• Lead site design and redevelopment processes prioritizing internal design criteria.
• Produce visuals for stakeholder meetings and construction operations.
• Oversee Lot Selection with Homebuyers in partnership with Family & Community Partnerships.
• Oversee Interior Selection with Homebuyers with Project Manager.
• Review Cabinet Designs with Project Manager and make recommendations.
• Compile and submit Building Permit documents.
• Support Advancement Department for donor/grant requests.
• Lead village-by-village park planning with new residents.
