Job summary

myTrueHR seeks an experienced Design Manager to lead the residential design-build team. You will coach designers, manage workloads, and drive process improvements to deliver high-end remodeling and custom homes.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on client experience, budget alignment, and seamless transitions from design to construction, with an emphasis on building a strong, collaborative design department.

Qualifications

• Experienced residential designer with leadership experience
• Strong ability to develop designers and build accountable teams
• Experience with high-end residential remodeling, custom homes, or interior design
• Previous mentoring or leading designers is important
• Experience with Chief Architect or similar residential design software is valuable

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Designers and Associate Designers
• Oversee design projects from concept to Production Handoff
• Ensure design work aligns with client needs and budgets
• Balance creativity with constructability and cost considerations
• Coordinate with Sales, Estimating, and Production for smooth handoffs
• Drive design department performance and continuous improvement
