Job summary

Business of Home is seeking a Design Assistant to join our growing Lower Westchester County interior design studio. This hands-on role works closely with the Founder across all phases of high-end residential projects, from concept and sourcing through documentation, procurement, and installation.

We are looking for someone creative, organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a genuine interest in high-end residential design.

Qualifications

Hands-on design support experience desirable.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Ability to work collaboratively with design team and Founder.

Responsibilities

Assist with sourcing furniture, lighting, accessories, materials and finishes.
Create client presentations, tear sheets, FF&E schedules, renderings and other design documents.
Produce and update AutoCAD floor plans, elevations, details and millwork drawings.
Assist with procurement and order management from specification through installation.
Maintain organized project specifications, schedules, samples, materials and vendor resources.
Participate in site visits, project meetings, installations, styling and photoshoots.
Assist with trade accounts, meeting notes and studio marketing/social media content as needed.
Collaborate closely with the Founder and design team to keep projects organized and moving forward.
