Job summary

Hutker Architects, Inc. seeks a Designer II to contribute to thoughtful residential design across all project phases. Working with principals and the studio team, you will help develop design concepts, produce construction documents, and coordinate with clients and consultants.

Candidates should have a B.Arch or M.Arch and 6–8 years of professional experience in residential design, with strong command of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite; Revit knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• A professional architecture degree (B.Arch/M.Arch) from an accredited program.
• 6–8 years of professional architectural experience with residential focus.
• Licensure or active pursuit of licensure preferred.
• Strong design instincts with ability to translate concepts into solutions.
• Growth mindset and entrepreneurial approach to development within the firm.

Responsibilities

• Contribute original design ideas across all phases from concept to construction.
• Support production of design, construction, and admin documents to firm standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors for detailed documentation.
• Research and detail materials aligning with design intent and codes.
• Develop schematic designs addressing project program and criteria.
• Prepare presentation materials to communicate ideas clearly.
• Manage multiple tasks across concurrent projects to meet schedules.
