Job summary

Pretium seeks an Analyst to join the Residential Credit team. The role is based in the Firm’s New York or Charlotte office, reporting to the Head of New Origination Loan Trading.

The candidate will learn acquiring, managing, and funding residential credit strategies while engaging with sell-side institutions and Pretium operating companies. Responsibilities include overseeing trades through the life cycle, designing tools to improve throughput and reporting, and applying pricing models to

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance or economics; CFA designation progress a plus.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in trading or underwriting.
• Ability to articulate complex strategies to diverse audiences.
• Experience facing the street in trading/underwriting role.
• Strong analytics and reporting with modeling/data integration.
• Familiarity with fixed income products and mortgages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn the business of acquiring, managing, and funding residential credit strategies.
• Daily interaction with sell side institutions and Pretium operating companies.
• Oversee transactions as they progress through the trade life cycle.
• Develop tools and processes to increase throughput and reporting.
• Apply computational methods to optimize trading, financing, and securitization strategies.
• Analyze earnings, exposure, and mark to market reporting.
