Job summary

WellPower in Denver supports individuals with mental illness through comprehensive behavioral health care. The Residential Counselor role involves direct client care, group therapy facilitation, intake/discharge tasks, and treatment coordination within a multi-disciplinary team.

The position requires handling ADLs, safety, and trauma-informed care, with emphasis on compassion and community integration. Shift work includes weekends and evenings at the Miller House and Second Street locations.

Qualifications

• One year of mental health experience preferred.
• RC I: pursuing Bachelor's or CNA/HHA certification preferred.
• RC II: Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy and group therapy sessions.
• Coordinate clinical care with case management and other services.
• Assist residents with ADLs and daily living activities.
• Document clinical notes, intake, discharge, and medications records.
• Maintain safety and respond to emergencies within the house.
• Advocate for residents and maintain trauma-informed care.
• Attend scheduled team meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
