Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is hiring an Overnight Residential Counselor to supervise and engage with youth in a 9:30 pm–7:30 am shift on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays in Sommerville. The role offers a $20.50–$21.50 hourly range with a sign-on bonus paid in two installments.

No college degree is required, and a supportive, team-focused work environment is provided. You will help youth develop coping and daily living skills, support activities, and ensure safety and hygiene within

Qualifications

• Must be available overnight and on weekends.
• Valid driver’s license required – motor vehicle background checks will be completed.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsabilités

• Directly supervise and engage with youth/residents in activities and daily routines.
• Support skill building for all youth/residents through collaborative team work.
• Show willingness to learn in trainings and maintain necessary certifications.
• Facilitate recreational activities for clients, working with staff to ensure program structure while providing positive role modeling.
• Provide safe client transportation and administer medications once MAP certified.
• Assist with basic needs: meals, safe living environment, recreation, and hygiene.

Overnight Residential Counselor

We are looking for the following coverage: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9:30 pm to 7:30am.

Salary Range:

Salary Range: $20.50 - $21.50 /hour depending on experience + sign- on bonus (half paid after 6 months of employment and half paid after 1 year of employment/pro-rated for part-time).

What You Will Do:

• Directly supervise and engage with youth/residents in activities and daily routines.
• Support skill building for all youth/residents through collaborative team work.
• Show yourself to be a willing learner in trainings and maintain necessary certifications.
• Facilitating recreational activities for clients, working with the staff team to ensure the program structure while providing positive role modeling for youth.
• Safe client transportation and medication administration once MAP certified.
• Assist the program in providing basic needs for clients, such as regular meals, a safe and clean living environment, recreational activities, and appropriate hygiene.

We will train you in: Motivational Interviewing; Courageous Conversations; Attachment, Regulation and Competency Model (ARC); Trauma Informed Practice, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, CPR and First Aid.
