Job summary

WellPower in Denver seeks Residential Counselors to support adults with behavioral health needs. You will provide direct service care as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supervise ADLs, facilitate group therapy, manage intakes and discharges, and advocate for individuals toward recovery.

RC I and RC II roles offer hourly pay ($27.79–$30.12) with a bilingual language differential. Education-based requirements vary by level; certifications include QMAP and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• RC I must be actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• RC II requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• QMAP certification.
• CPR & First Aid certification.
• Physical exam required prior to hire and maintained during employment.
• One year mental health experience preferred; must be 20+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy with consumers to provide support and insight.
• Facilitate group sessions as applicable.
• Coordinate clinical care with case management services and other MHCD services.
• Assess consumers and provide appropriate interventions.
• Encourage and train consumers in activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Help facilitate treatment and continuity of clinical care as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Complete intake and discharge tasks for new residents or moving out.
• Maintain household safety with chores and activities like cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
• Document all significant consumer interactions toward recovery and continuity of care.
• Complete necessary clinical documentation (daily log, consumer records, medication records).
• Respond to consumer and building emergencies and coordinate interventions.
• Advocate for acceptance and integration of individuals with mental illness in the community.
• Attend scheduled team meetings.
• Maintain a trauma-informed environment of wellbeing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
