Job summary

Riverside Community Care in Watertown, MA seeks a Residential Counselor to join a supportive team helping individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. You will provide daily coaching, companionship and supervision to promote health, safety and community engagement.

You’ll encourage residents to identify strengths, pursue opportunities, and develop skills for independence, with shifts that support weekend availability and a respect-driven, person-centered approach.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, supervision, coaching and companionship to residents.
• Assist residents to maintain health and safety and live safely in the community.
• Help residents develop independence, self-determination and meaningful relationships.
• Support residents in participating in community activities, work and volunteer opportunities.
